We are planning out some really special activities for the holidays, including having Brandon back from school for the first time.
Community Emergency Response Team for Palo Alto
The CERT organization in Palo Alto is called "PANDA": Palo Alto Neighborhood Disaster Activities.
I qualified for the team in January 2007, and completed training in February 2007.
The training curriculum included:
- Emergency medical procedures
- Triage
- Radio protocols
- Fire suppression
- Search and rescue
- Earthquake procedures including helping people trapped under rubble
- Disaster psychology
- Team organization
